Wadebridge came back immediately with a converted try which was soon reduced by another home penalty. A try from Lewis Stuart put the Ashes back in front after 15 minutes but the visitors regained the advantage with their second converted try.(11-14). Wadebridge were then beginning to take control and crossed the home line with three more tries before the interval to take a commanding lead (11-33) which was a result of taking their chances from strong running and lapses in the Ashes defence.
Wadebridge increased their lead 6 minutes into the second half with a converted try before Saltash started to rally through tries by Colm Rich and Lewis Stuart (23-40). A quick response by Wadebridge with two tries further increased their dominance of the game. The Ashes continued to show their fighting spirit and Kieran Hurrell scored after 74 minutes which was converted. The visitors got the final score at the very end by crossing the home line and deservedly won the match. Saltash had a much improved second period and contributed much to an enjoyable game with Lewis Stuart kicking the home points.
Tries for Wadebridge were from Hez Crane(2), Ollie Derry(2), Kerferstasky,(1) , Josh Anderson, (2), Henry Tucker and Jude Evans. Six conversions were kicked by Harvey Redditch.
