The try-fest started on 5 mins with a try from prodigal centre Sam. Ten minutes in and from a line out, centre-come-prop Dave Draper went over for the try, which Snell converted for a 12-0 lead. The tide turned a little with a strong display of scrummaging down the hill from the visitors which lead to a try for Tavistock's no.13 to reduce the gap to 12-5.
The remainder of the first half saw the home side in control scoring tries through scrum half Greg Eatwell, Snell and centre partner Scott Williams with Snell adding 2 conversions. Half time score 31-5.
The second half continued in similar fashion to the first although with Saltash now showing greater efficiency at ruck-time, bringing accurate linking in the loose. In the first 15 mins of the second half there were further tries for Eatwell, Snell and also a first try for new signing Ryan Simmonds. Wing Ryan Kean bagged himself a try on 58 mins followed by dynamic lock Dylan Lamerton on the hour converted by Snell. One of the last acts of the game saw Kieran Hurrell touch down with Snell adding the extras. With an injury to a Tavistock player the game was brought to a premature end by the referee on 70 mins.
